Masterprint supports trophy-winning Philip Morant Racing Team
July 2008
Masterprint is proud to be a supporter of the Philip Morant Racing Team, and we congratulate students on their trophy success at the 2008 Kent Regional Heat for Formula 24 cars.
Colchester's Philip Morant School and College has long been involved in Formula 24 racing, which is organised by Greenpower. Secondary schools are given a carefully thought-up specification along with a 24-volt electric motor and four 12-volt lead/acid batteries. Cars are designed and built within the schools with the help of teachers, co-opted engineers, parents and others.
The Philip Morant Racing Team excels at both design and racing. In the Kent Regional Heat, their main car Frank N. Stein was presented with the IoM3 award for Innovative Use of Recycled Materials, whilst their new car - Fireblade - snatched the trophy for the fastest lap.
Well done to everyone involved. If you'd like to read more about the day, visit the Philip Morant site for a full race report.
